External to church..you may have a job which involves using your practical skills; there are many opportunities for volunteering in practical ways - both locally and overseas.

Within church..there are many opportunities to use your gifting and contribute to the life of St. Peter's. Some involve making a regular commitment but there are often opportunities to help out with special events or ad-hoc as the need arises, depending on what your particular skills are.

  • Join the maintenance team
  • Become a 'Martha' (providing refreshments at services)
  • Offer to help with catering for Alpha or other events
  • Volunteer for the Sound or AV team
  • Do some gardening (at church - or for the clergy!)
  • Offer transport
  • Join the brass-cleaning rota
  • Offer to help with spring-cleaning the church and halls or other cleaning needs
  • Organise fund-raising activities
