The gift of Praying & Reflection

Intercession - the ability to pray consistently and passionately on behalf of others.
  • God makes himself known to me in silence
  • Meditation is important to me
  • I regularly spend time praying about people and situations
  • Intercession and silence are essential ingredients of my worship

In your personal life....it is likely that you value and sustain a discipline of private prayer, intercession and time 'in quiet' from day-to-day, perhaps with longer retreats from time to time. You may enjoy writing a spiritual journal, or having prayer walks.

Within church..there are opportunities to use your gifting on behalf of others, and to join with others in times of prayer.

"For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them." [Matthew 18: 20]

  • Leading intercessions in services
  • Prayer Chain - a network of people within St Peter's who pray (at home) on behalf of others, especially in times of urgent need
  • Healing Prayer Team - pray with and on behalf of others, after some services and at other times by arrangement
  • Home Groups - include times of prayer together
  • St. Peter's News - value written contributions

There are monthly Prayer Fellowships on Sunday evenings and some midweek meetings ..or start a prayer triplet with a couple of friends and see where it takes you!
