Home groups provide the opportunity of Christian fellowship within a small group situation. At St. Peter's there are some 14 groups meeting during the week in mornings, afternoons and evenings.
Studying the bible together, praying and worship provide the structure of the groups, but their very informal nature encourages individuals to be able to share in the reality of everyday Christian life with its difficulties and its encouragements.
What are the benefits of committing to a Home group?
There are many benefits. First, you are encouraged by scripture to be connected into a community of believers. This is very important to your personal growth, as well as an opportunity to serve and reach out to others. When you talk with those in committed groups, you will hear that the people in those groups have often grown to be some of their closest friends and supporters.
Small groups can provide you with prayer support, a challenging environment for growth, and a place for healthy accountability and encouragement.
Small groups are our way for St. Peter's to grow smaller and more intimate as we grow as a church.
