The gift of Teaching

The ability to clearly explain God's truth and inspire growth in Christ's followers.

(This is not necessarily restricted to a narrow field of 'spirituality' but may include teaching other skills/knowledge to help people grow and become the people God wants them to be).

It may also include more specifically:

being a shepherd - nurturing and guiding people towards spiritual maturity.

I enjoy explaining things to others

Others are helped when I teach them things

I love study, finding the facts and sharing them with others

I have patience in helping others understand things

External to church…..you may have a job that involves teaching, training or coaching. There are opportunities to teach/coach in a voluntary capacity such as schemes in schools helping children with reading, teaching English as a second language, adult education.

Within church…..there may be opportunities to use your gifting to contribute to the life of St Peter's.

Youth and Children's work - especially Sunday groups

Uniformed groups

Involvement in Alpha courses

Home Groups

Contributing articles to St Peter's News

There may also be opportunities within the Deanery or Diocese to contribute to training events, if you have a particular expertise or special area of knowledge.
