The gift of Healing

To be God's means for moving people towards wholeness, by

listening

prayer and intercession

laying on of hands

mercy (cheerfully and practically helping those who are suffering)

I have a concern for those who are ill and feel a call to help them

Others find my presence calming and empathetic

I have sometimes laid hands on or prayed with the sick and they have been helped

I spend time praying with or for sick people

External to church…..you may work in a caring, medical or counselling role.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations" [ Matthew 28:19]

Within church…..there are several opportunities to use your gifting within the life of St. Peter's.

Healing Prayer Team

Prayer Chain

Visiting the sick at home or in hospital

Visiting the housebound

Intercessory prayer for those sick or distressed

Counselling (if you have had formal training as a counsellor)
