The Shipley Passion
As part of the Walk of Witness on Good Friday we are presenting the Passion on the streets of Shipley. Basically the Walk follows (more or less) its usual route but at varioius points a part of the Jesus Passion story is acted out. The walkers form ‘the Crowd.’
The main parts are cast and rehearsals are under way.

However…..
We still need people to do some small (but important) parts. The remaining roles are (in order of appearance):

*Woman 1 – Three lines in Sc.1 & appears in Sc. 5,6 & 7
*Woman 2 – One line in Sc.1 & appears in Sc. 5,6 & 7.
*Child 1 – Two lines in Sc.1 & appears in Sc. 5,6 & 7.
*James (Disciple) – Four lines in Sc.2 & appears in Sc. 1, 3, 5, 6 & 7
*John (Disciple) – Three lines in Sc. 2 & appears in Sc. 1, 3, 5, 6 & 7
*Scribe – Two lines in Sc.1, One line in Sc.3, One line in Sc.4, appears in Sc.5 & 7
*Teacher of the Law 1 – Two lines in Sc.3 & appears in Sc. 4, 5, 6 & 7
*Teacher of the Law 2 – As above.
*Teacher of the Law 3 – One line in Sc.3 & appears in Sc. 4, 5, 6 & 7.
*Man 1 & 2, Woman 3, 4 & 5 & Teenager – One line each in Sc.4 & appears in Sc. 1, 4, 5 & 7
*Soldier – One line in Sc. 7 & appear in Sc. 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6
Ideally as well we would want a couple more soldiers & disciples who won’t speak.
Costumes are very simple (black clothes with coloured scarves and/or head-dress) Rehearsals could be a couple of Saturdays.

If you know of any of the young people who might like to take parts please get them to get in touch URGENTLY with James Taylor ([email protected] )
