New prayer sessions:
We are looking to increase the opportunities we have to come together as a church to pray and so we are going to trial some new prayer sessions each week, alongside the opportunities we already have to pray together each morning at 9am for morning prayers, at the monthly prayer gatherings on the first Tuesday at 7.30pm and through the Peter’s Prayers email system ([email protected]) There will now also be opportunity to meet together in the Hope Chapel and pray on Thursday mornings between 7am and 7.30am, when we will be focusing on issues in the wider world and our overseas mission links; on Saturday mornings between 9.30am and 10am, when we will be praying for issues within the life of St Peter’s and on Tuesday evenings between 6pm and 6.30pm, when we will be focusing on prayers for our local community and our outreach to them. (Note: the Tuesday sessions will not take place on the first Tuesdays in the month when we have our monthly prayer meeting at 7.30pm). Just turn up if you are able to join us – everyone very welcome! If you want to know more about the thinking behind this, there is an article in the October edition of St Peter’s News, and there are some flyers available in church which list all the prayer opportunities we have through the week each week, which you can take home and put somewhere prominent to remind you!
